Children, Adolescents, Adults, Couples & Families

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #1693) dedicated to guiding individuals, children, adolescents, adults, and families on their journey toward healing and growth. With a person-centered approach grounded in evidence-based practices, I aim to foster connections—with oneself, others, the community, and the environment.

With over a decade of experience as a trauma therapist in Laramie’s most restrictive school setting and simultaneously serving the community through my practice at Moonstone Wellness, I've developed expertise in addressing various challenges, including divorce, trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral challenges and numerous mental health disorders.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wyoming (2007) and a Master's of Science in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wyoming (2014). I am also nationally certified as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (2020) and trained in CBITS: Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools (2024).

Ongoing education and professional growth lie at the heart of my practice. I offer supervision to clinicians at Moonstone Wellness, fostering a secure environment for learning and discovery within our field—a vital component for delivering exceptional care.

I'm committed to helping individuals cultivate inner peace, confidence, and courage as they navigate their unique paths toward well-being. Whether you're facing challenges or seeking personal growth, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

I’m a Provisional Professional Counselor dedicated to walking alongside individuals of all ages as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I believe deeply in the healing power of safe, supportive relationships—and that meaningful change becomes possible when we feel truly seen and heard.

My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, which means your unique story, strengths, and pace will guide our work together. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a place to process and reflect, my goal is to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and build the life you deserve.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology (2018) and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2024), both from the University of Wyoming. I continue to grow as a clinician through ongoing training and supervision, ensuring that I bring both compassion and clinical excellence to each session.

I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of concerns—including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity, self-worth, and relationship struggles—with a particular passion for working with those impacted by domestic abuse, stalking, and sexual assault.

It’s an honor to hold space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. If you’re considering taking this step, I’m so glad you’re here—and I would be honored to walk this path with you.

    Children, Adolescents & Adults

Welcome to Moonstone Wellness. I hope you find a counselor who feels right for you. With warmth and empathy, I hope to be a reflective witness and guide on your journey.

My approach in supporting you is rooted in complete trust in your innate wholeness and pull toward healthy connections of all kinds. Our early experiences shape how we understand and connect with ourselves and all aspects of the world. Some influences allow us to remain in beautiful connection with our core Self; others cause disconnections as we adapt. These biological, psychological, and social coping patterns can lead to a variety of struggles.

As your trauma-informed counselor, it’s my privilege to help you reconnect with the you that innately has clarity and feels calm, curious, compassionate, courageous, confident, creative, and connected.

I am a Provisional Professional Counselor (PPC) in Wyoming. I hold an MS in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wyoming (2025) and a BS in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University (2007). I’ve also received additional training in play therapy, psychological first aid, abuse recovery, child sexual abuse prevention, and gender-affirming care.

I have a strong passion for abuse response and recovery, with recent professional counseling experience that includes supporting survivors of domestic violence. I integrate a variety of therapeutic methods, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Feminist Theory for adults and adolescents, and Child-Centered and Gestalt Play Therapies for children. My clinical experience includes support of individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, identity exploration, interpersonal conflict, separation/divorce, life transitions, parenting challenges, and more.

I’ve also received additional training in Gestalt play therapy, psychological first aid, abuse prevention and recovery, and gender-affirming care. I offer caregivers a 10-session supportive training that parallels my work with their child.

Thank you for trusting Moonstone Wellness. I look forward to walking with you back into connection.

  • Will Ford, LCSW (LCSW-1720)

    Will Ford, LCSW (LCSW-1720)

    Adolescents, Adults, & Couples

Will is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-1720 in Wyoming, CSW.09931172 in Colorado) taking clients from both Wyoming and Colorado. Previously, Will worked as a counselor in an Opioid Treatment Program, and as a therapist in a high school serving teenagers with behavioral issues stemming from adverse childhood experiences. Will enjoys working with people facing a variety of challenges, and specializes in working with clients struggling with symptoms of trauma, both single-incident and complex. In his practice, Will primarily uses EMDR and other methods of memory reconsolidation for trauma healing, which he surrounds with parts work, motivational interviewing, solutions-focused therapy, and CBT. He is currently working towards full certification in EMDR from the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).

Will believes therapy often works best when it explores and addresses how past experiences inform our psychology in the present. With this in mind, he takes a trauma-informed approach when developing treatment plans to achieve goals set by clients, regardless of whether past life experience meets traditional definitions of trauma. Additionally, Will offers week-long intensives for clients interested in condensing the traditional hour-per-week model of therapy into a shorter time frame. For more information about intensives, please e-mail WyomingMoonstone@gmail.com. If needed—particularly for international students from China at UW and CSU—Will can also provide services in Mandarin Chinese.

Outside of counseling, Will occasionally works as a freelance writer and journalist, contributing to outlets like High Country News, The Washington Post, Harper’s, Outside, and Politico. Much of his writing has focused on China, where Will previously worked as an interpreter, teacher, and foreign correspondent for various stretches. Will loves exploring the outdoors, especially on climbing skins in the winter, and still rides a unicycle on occasion.
